Hello there, at the moment i am 83 level and questing at Vashj'ir for the 150 quests achievement, anyway in the dungeon finder i have stonecore and vortex pinnacle dungeons which require 272 item level and i some times have 268 other times i have 269 and some other times i have 271 so i can't queue for them because i have low item level, the thing is that i changed 3 264 items with 279 items from the 2 starting instances (blackrock caverns and throne of tides) and my item level did not go up a single point!!!!!

WTF is happening ?? how can i raise my item level so i can join those instances ??

I know that i need better items with higher item level but WHERE do i find them ??
Will i continue to do quests and entering BRC and ToT until i reach 85 ??

P.S; I am sorry if there is another topic here same as mine but i checked the first page and did not see anything like this post.

A few key points:
Your overall item level is based on the items IN YOUR BAG that you *could* equip as well as the items equipped. So, for instance, if you vended an iLevel 346 drop, your average iLevel may go down quite noticably. Also, equipping gear will have no effect due to this same point.

You can raise your item level by either questing and collecting good enough gear, or by needing on unwanted green gear. I see that you're a hunter, meaning that you could take cloth, leather or mail greens, as long as they have high item level. Just be sure not to vend them until your actual item level is high enough.

Or alternately, you can just get a guild group and walk in manually ;-)

Oh crap, that's why my ilvl is going up and down, from 268 to 271 and again down to 268....

While i am questing i get a lot of green items that i sell them to a vendor at the first opportunity.

So i am gonna keep them until i reach the required ilvl for those dungeons, i hope it will work that way.
