Star Wars: The Old Republic is Bioware's latest entry in its ongoing PC game series. For the uninitiated, Buy Cheap SWTOR CreditsThe Old Republic is a small part of the Star Wars extended canon that takes place thousands of years prior to the events of A New Hope. Everything in SWTOR feels very different when compared to the established Star Wars universe, but it retains an air of the familiar. This gives Bioware the freedom to craft an exciting new story, such as the recently released Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion, set within the established Star Wars universe. This liberty, combined with Bioware's wonderfully dynamic dialogue system, thrilling combat, and extremely generous free-to-play model, has produced a truly epic game that shines as one of the genre's defining titles. SWTOR is nothing less than a MMO achievement, and a fantastic continuation of the Old Republic legacy that Bioware first established in 2003.

More Powerful Than You Could Possibly Imagine
MMO veterans will feel right at home from the start. You begin by selecting a faction, casting your lot with either the Galactic Republic or the Sith Empire, and then building a character using one of the game's four classes. SWOTR is up front with you in terms of what you can expect by selecting a given class. It tells you what role you play, the gear you use, and the abilities that become available as you progress. All of the established RPG classes are present, whether that's the tank-like Republic Trooper, or the spell-casting Sith Inquisitor. While there are fewer overall classes than are offered by some other MMOs, such as World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 2, the game's classes are also given the option to specialize in one of two subclasses that let you fill multiple roles in a firefight. For example, the Republic Trooper can specialize in the combat medic subclass, letting you to not only soak up damage from enemies, but also heal your teammates, as well. It's a great deviation from the usual inflexible character norm.
Once you create a character, the game drops you right into the action. A cinematic opening experience offers context for your objectives and a brief introduction to SWTORs dialogue system.SWOTR uses familiar hotkey-based combat, but short ability-cooldowns and an emphasis on AOE attacks make the combat fast and empowering. When you single handedly lay waste to entire mobs of enemies, it can be a real power trip. However, these mechanics may not be enough of a departure from established MMO Cheap SWTOR For Saletropes to make genre veterans abandon some of their old haunts.
Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic have been discussing the possibilities of a Server Merge. SWTOR players are currently debating whether there is a relationship between a server merge with upcoming movie releases, and the advantages of what the merging could bring to the community.
Over on the SWTOR forums, user MakArdross kicked off the discussion: “Hey all, As I compare the fleet’s population on serval servers, both imp and pub, the trend is imps have more activity and pubs are reaching barely over half of the total amount of the imp’s population majority of the time. A server merge will help the current active players.”
After MakArdross invited others to share their thoughts, members of the SWTOR Buy Cheap SWTOR Credits community began to voice their opinions. User Savej shared the same request, expecting further news after the new movie: “The BW team has said a couple times they will consider a merge after 5.0 and the new movie population bumps have settled.” JabbaWabba feels that the prospect of a server merge is something that won’t be happening anytime soon: “doubt it happens any time soon. they make money off the people who are paying for a transfer right now”.
An interesting part of the debate is the correlation between the number of players and the release of movies in the Star Wars series. MaximumOwnage isn’t expecting an influx of new players once the next movie releases: “when Force Awakens came out, the game took a nose dive and was slower, not more active at the entire time the movie was out.” Whilst the user Rolodome believes there isn’t much in common between movie-goers and those who play the games: “Doesn’t surprise me, as most movie-goers probably don’t even play games, much less know what an is or have the time to play one.
